Muscle Beach

When I was a kid growing up in Massachusetts, we used to visit our grandparents in Los Angeles each summer. They would take us down to Muscle Beach in Venice to watch the bodybuilders and buy us Arnold Schwarzenegger t-shirts, making us feel like the strongest kids in the world.

That memory always stuck with me, inspiring me to create a multimedia project centered around the idea of inner strength. It started as a short film and evolved into a photo series, an NFT collection, and an installation project, which we ultimately premiered at a gallery in Los Angeles.

This image of a bodybuilder standing at the water’s edge represents the inner strength we felt as kids and speaks to the determination and perseverance needed to overcome any form of suffering.
