These are the handwritten letters my mother and father wrote to each other when my father was in the Indian Armed Forces. These letters were written in the Hindi language. At that time, the only way to communicate was through letters, which traveled through post offices. My mother told me she had to wait for months to receive a reply, and both of them eagerly waited for each other’s words. Later, I realized how time and technology have brought people closer virtually, but the emotions have faded. Nowadays, no one waits for someone’s message anymore, which shows how love between people has also faded. Along with these letters is a photograph of my father, my mother, and little me.
