Moorish Monster?

I was in Lisbon, Portugal, co-curating an art exhibition when one of the artists and I  visited the 8th-century Moorish castle Castelo dos Mourosin in Sintra, just outside of Lisbon.  I took this photo because it looked like a huge mythological creature was peering over her shoulder.
