Dhobi Ghat in Mumbai, the world’s largest open-air laundry, is a place where tradition and daily life blend in a unique rhythm. With my camera, I captured the lives of workers and residents—their hard work, colorful fabrics, and moments of calm in their daily routines. This place stands as a testament to human resilience, organization, and traditions that have endured the test of time in the bustling heart of India.

Asar Bahadur Rai, a Nepali shepherd, has lived for over 20 years in Wakro, Arunachal Pradesh, India, far from the comforts of electricity and modern life. In the heart of the jungle, he tends to the cows and sheep of a local family, devoting himself to their care with unwavering dedication. Each day is a quiet battle as tigers prowl nearby, threatening his herd, a danger he has faced more than once. For Asar, these animals are more than just livestock; they are his family, nurtured and protected as if they were his own children.
