To be a mother

For 10 years, I have been the mother of twin boys. To say that motherhood is challenging would be an understatement. As part of my project, I photographed myself and my children. My goal was to capture the attention of other mothers and show that our struggles with children are very similar—regardless of their gender or age. You can either endlessly complain and feel sorry for yourself, or you can simply laugh about it. That’s exactly what I wanted to express with my photos.

Working on this project became a sustainable way to experience the emotions of motherhood—not with screaming and drama, but with laughter and humor from both sides.
